How we handle your data
Aven keeps this page short on purpose. It describes exactly what this website collects, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do about it. Nothing more.
What we collect
One source of personal data: the contact form on the Start a conversation page. When you submit it, we receive the name, email address, and short note you typed. Nothing else is collected from that form, and nothing about you is collected anywhere else on the site.
Our web host (Vercel) keeps short-lived server logs of incoming requests — IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and operational debugging. These logs are retained for roughly 30 days and then discarded.
What we don't
No cookies. No analytics. No tracking pixels. No advertising trackers. No third-party fonts — we self-host. No social widgets, no newsletter sign-up tags, no session recording.
This is deliberate. The site is meant to read like a publication, not surveil one.
Where it goes
When you submit the contact form, your message is routed through Resend, an email-delivery service that transports the message to a partner's inbox at Aven. Resend operates as a transit vendor — it does not store message contents long-term. The message lands in Google Workspace, which provides the firm's email.
Three named third parties touch any visitor data:
- Vercel — web host. Sees server logs only.
- Resend — message transit. Sees contact-form submissions in transit, not at rest.
- Google Workspace — final inbox for the email.
Aven does not sell visitor data, does not share it with marketing partners, and does not maintain a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Contact-form submissions live in the receiving partner's inbox indefinitely, alongside any subsequent correspondence with you. If you ask us to delete what we hold, we will, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your rights
Write to info@avenadvisors.com and ask. You can request:
- A copy of any personal data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data
- That we stop using your data for any purpose
A senior advisor will respond within a reasonable period — typically within two business days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and Aven does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone in that age range.
Updates
When the site's data practices change, this page changes with them. The date below indicates the last revision.
